Introduction

At TutsCoder, we are committed to being transparent with our readers. This Affiliate Disclosure explains how we use affiliate links on our website and how they help support the content we create.

We would rather tell you about this plainly than bury it. Wherever a section of the site carries affiliate links, it is labelled as such on the page itself, not only here.

Awaiting owner confirmation Links on the site are not yet carrying referral tracking: the tool cards on the home page point at placeholder targets, and the ones in the tutorials archive point at ordinary company home pages. Until real affiliate URLs are in place, this page describes an arrangement that is not yet active. Please confirm before publishing.

How We Use Affiliate Links

We use affiliate links for the kinds of products, tools and services we genuinely rely on, which today means:

Hosting & Infrastructure

Shared hosting and VPS providers the deployment tutorials and the starter are written against.

Developer Services

Payment and transactional email providers used in the modules we teach and ship.

Freelance Marketplaces

Where to hire a developer for a task that is faster to delegate than to learn.

These links appear in two places: the recommended tools section on the home page, and a short strip at the foot of the tutorials archive. We do not place affiliate links inside tutorial text without labelling them.

Our Commitments

An affiliate relationship never buys a recommendation. Specifically:

  • We only recommend tools and services we use ourselves, or have researched thoroughly.
  • Our recommendations reflect our honest opinion and our own experience of building with them.
  • We do not accept payment in exchange for a positive review or a place on the list.
  • A commission never changes what we say about a product, where it ranks, or whether we mention its drawbacks.
  • If we stop using or trusting something, we remove it — whether or not it earns us anything.

No Extra Cost to You

Using our affiliate links does not cost you anything extra. The price you pay is the same whether you follow our link or go to the company’s website directly.

Where a partner offers a credit, discount or trial, that offer comes from the partner and is theirs to change or withdraw at any time. The figures shown on our tool cards are indicative of what was advertised when we wrote them — always check the current price on the provider’s own site before you buy.

Products & Services

When you follow an affiliate link you leave TutsCoder and buy from the third party directly. Your purchase is a contract with them, not with us.

Pricing and billing
Set entirely by the provider, in their currency and on their terms. We do not process these payments and never see your payment details for them.
Support and service
Provided by them. If something goes wrong with a service you bought through our link, their support team is the right place to start — though do tell us, because it affects whether we keep recommending them.
Refunds and cancellations
Governed by the provider’s own policy. We cannot issue, approve or influence a refund for a third-party product.

This is separate from the scripts, eBooks and starters sold by TutsCoder itself, which are covered by our Terms & Conditions.

Third-Party Disclosure

We take part in affiliate and partner programmes operated by the companies whose tools we recommend — hosting and infrastructure providers, developer service providers, and freelance marketplaces.

These programmes are run by those third parties. We have no control over their products, pricing, policies or the way they handle your data once you reach their site, and their own terms and privacy policies apply to you from that point. Our Privacy Policy explains what we do and do not collect on our side.

Your Support Matters

When you use our affiliate links, you help support TutsCoder at no extra cost to you. It is one of the ways we fund the work that stays free to read.

That support goes back into writing tutorials, maintaining the free resources, and keeping the site running and ad-free. Using our links is entirely optional, and nothing on the site is gated behind them.

Questions

If you have any questions about this Affiliate Disclosure, about a particular recommendation, or about how a link is tracked, email us at support@tutscoder.com and we will answer honestly.
